Inclusion and Support

ProfoundBond is a space for people of all backgrounds and identities. This includes members of any sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, social and economic class, educational level, color, immigration status, sex, age, size, family status, political belief, religion, and mental and physical ability. PB follows a strict non-discrimination policy. Individuals who are members of hate groups, or who hold values which seek to harm others are not welcome here.

While we are primarily a Destiel community, PB welcomes people from all parts of the DeanCas and SPN fandom. This includes Destiel shippers, multishippers, and non-shippers. Discussion of ships involving Dean and/or Cas other than Dean/Cas must be kept to the multishipping channels. That said, shaming or bashing of any ship is strictly prohibited anywhere on the server.

Friendly discussions of characterization preference are welcome, but be mindful of the line between expressing preference and criticizing someone else's.

ProfoundBond is a sex and kink positive server. Shaming members or other mods for their kinks, sexual experience (or lack there of), or lifestyle is unacceptable. We follow the "YKINMK" philosophy. You do not need to let everyone know you are squicked by something. If a kink is being discussed that you do not like, please remove yourself from the discussion and come back later.

Respect and Consideration

We all depend on each other to make PB and the DeanCas/SPN fandom a positive and productive environment. We are all here because we love this ship and this community.

We can't all agree all the time, but disagreement is no excuse for disrespectful behavior.

Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down others. Harassment and exclusionary behavior aren't acceptable. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Threats of violence.
  • Discriminatory jokes and language.
  • Personal insults, especially those using slurs.
  • Ignoring or excluding fellow members frequently while engaging with others.
  • Refusing to discuss or attempt to resolve personal conflicts.
  • Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.

In general, differences of opinion and disagreements are mostly unavoidable. What is important is that disagreements are resolved constructively. However, not everyone gets along or needs to put forth the effort to understand everyone else. If a member is unable or unwilling to resolve a conflict they need to self-moderate or involve a mod to help.

The supernatural fandom is massive and finds a lot of strength in its diversity. Different people have different perspectives on issues, and that can be valuable for solving problems or generating new ideas. Being unable to understand why someone holds a viewpoint doesn’t mean that they’re wrong. Don’t forget that we all make mistakes, and blaming each other doesn’t get us anywhere. Instead, focus on resolving issues and learning from mistakes.
